This is a static demonstration website. It is not a live business site and does not collect personal data on a server.
Who we are
Plover & Rye is a fictional café-restaurant created for a Johnny client demo. The address on Limekiln Yard, the phone number, and the email address are not real trading details. The phone number uses Ofcom’s drama range (0117 496). The email address ending in .example is not monitored.
What this site does
Pages are plain HTML, CSS and a small local JavaScript file. There is no account system, webshop, booking engine, embedded map, advertising network, or analytics package. Nothing is loaded from a content delivery network.
Contact form
The form on the contact page runs only in your browser. Submitting it shows a thank-you message and clears the fields. Name, email and message are not transmitted to a server and are not stored by us.
Cookies and local storage
We do not set advertising or tracking cookies. When you dismiss the small notice at the bottom of the page, the site saves a single flag in your browser’s localStorage under the key plover-notice so the notice does not appear again on that device. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Your rights
Because this demo does not process personal data on a server, there is no customer database to access, correct or erase. If you were using a real café’s website, you would contact that business directly about data rights under UK GDPR.
